NEW TIMING OF THE CALL IN SUPPORT OF THE BALTIC SEA RESEARCH

The first BONUS thematic call opens in 2012
The joint Baltic Sea research and development programme BONUS will open a call for proposals in the first half of 2012 worth EUR 40 million to support the top Baltic Sea research and the pivotal role it can play in ensuring a better future for the region. The successful top projects to be funded will be selected by a panel of international experts and the results will be announced by the end of 2012.

By postponing the opening of this call from the originally planned 1 December 2011 to the first half of 2012 allows the funding volume of up to EUR 40 million to be fully secured legally for mobilisation. Half of the funding comes from the national funding institutions of the Baltic Sea countries and the other half from the EU Seventh Framework Programme. The timing of this first call under the BONUS 2010-2016 will be confirmed in due time.
