2010
- September, 2010 - Piotr and Waldemar returned from the cruise onboard K/V Svalbard in the Greenland Sea, where recovery of our mooring system took place. Mooring was redeployed.
- June-August, 2010 - R/V "Oceania" has been to the next Arctic cruise within IO PAS Arctic Experiment 2010. During this cruise hydrological profiles and currents (LADCP, ADCP) measurements on the Norwegian and Greenland Sea were performed. Four Euro-Argo floats were launched. Furthermore towed CTD profiles at the West Spitsbergen shelf and fjords: Hornsund, Kongsfjord and others were done. All these operations were connected with Euro-Argo, Alkekonge and AWAKE projects.
- Autumn 2009-Spring 2010 - Four Baltic cruises on R/V "Oceania" were done. Measurements along standard hydrological sections were performed.
- September, 2009 - Piotr and Krzysztof returned from the cruise onboard K/V Svalbard in the Fram Strait, where recovery of our mooring system (performed in the DAMOCLES Project) took place. Mooring was redeployed.
- June-August, 2009 - R/V "Oceania" has been to the next Arctic cruise within IO PAS Arctic Experiment 2009. During this cruise hydrological profiles, nutrients concentration and currents (LADCP, ADCP) measurements on the Norwegian and Greenland Sea were performed. Four Euro-Argo floats were launched. Furthermore towed CTD profiles at the West Spitsbergen shelf and fjords: Hornsund, Kongsfjord and others were done. Mooring system close to the Hornsund mouth was deployed as well. All these operations were connected with Damocles, Euro-Argo and Alkekonge Projects.
- Autumn 2008-Spring 2009 - Several Baltic cruises on R/V "Oceania" were done. Measurements along standard hydrological sections were performed.
- November 25-28, 2008 - Damocles meetings in Sopot
- November 5, 2008 - Piotr has returned from the cruise onboard I/B Kapitan Dranitsyn in the eastern part of the Arctic Ocean, where recovery of our mooring system (performed in the DAMOCLES Project) took place.
- August 13-19, 2008 - Piotr has participated in cruise onboard R/V Hakon Mosby in the Fram Strait, where our next mooring system in the DAMOCLES Project was installed.
- July 2-21, 2008 - Waldemar is going to participate in the cruise of CCGS "Louis S. St-Laurent" icebreaker in the western Arctic Ocean area. He will continue his study on the ocean circulation in this part of the Arctic (LADCP and CTD measurements).
- June 24-25, 2008 - Małgorzata took part in the "1st Euro-Argo Users Meeting", in the National Oceanography Centre (NOCS), Southampton, UK.
- June 7, 2008 - R/V "Oceania" is going to the next Arctic cruise within Arctic Experiment 2008. Cruise will start from the Baltic Sea, next we will perform hydrological and nutrients measurements on the Norwegian and Greenland Sea. Lastly, we will finish in the Spitsbergen fjords: Hornsund, Kongsfjorden and others.
- May 15-16, 2008 - Jaromir took part in meeting of a group working on the project "Regional Arctic Climate System Model", Boulder, Colorado, USA.
- April 10, 2008 - Public defence of Robert's PhD thesis "Symulacja procesów dynamicznych w Morzu Bałtyckim zintegrowanym modelem ocean - lód" took place. Jan Piechura was an advisor.
- March 2-7, 2008 - Jan and Waldemar participated in the international conference "Ocean Sciences Meeting, From the Watershed to the Global Ocean", 2-7 March 2008, Orlando, Florida, USA.
- March 3-5, 2008 - Ilona participated in annual meeting of ICES WGOH (Working Group on Oceanic Hydrography), Aberdeen, Scotland, UK.

- October 10-November 18, 2007 - Ilona participated in AGF-311 "Air-Ice-Sea Interaction II" course which was organized in University Center in Svalbard, Longyearbyen. Within this course, cruise of the R/V "Lance" to Storfjorden took place, when hydrological conditions were studied before winter cooling, as well as ice and dense water production.
- July 23, 2007 - R/V "Oceania" just finished oceanic and shelf edge part of this year Arctic cruise. Now it's moving to Spitsbergen fjords: Hornsund, Kongsfjorden and others. The weather was very harsh this summer, there were a lot of strong winds, violent storms and big waves. Working on the ship deck was very tough, but finally the crew succeeded.
- July 5, 2007 - Longyearbyen, Svalbard, European Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik and Norwegian research minister visited R/V Oceania which participate in EU Damocles Project. He met our researchers: Jan, Waldemar, Project leader Jean-Claude Gascard, organizers and students from "IPY International Sea-Ice Summer School" which took place at UNIS then. See some details
- April 31, 2007 - April South Baltic Sea cruise of R/V Oceania ended.
- March 19-23, 2007 - Jan and Robert participated in "Baltic Sea Science Conference" which took place in Rostock, Germany.
- March 16, 2007 - March South Baltic Sea cruise of R/V Oceania ended.
- January 31, 2007 - January South Baltic Sea cruise of R/V Oceania ended. Because of harsh weather conditions, the number of transects was limited. See some results 2006
- December 7-8, 2006 - Jan, Waldemar and Jaromir participated in "WP3 Oceans workshop" which took place in Bremen, Germany too
- December 6-7, 2006 - Robert and Jaromir taken part in "Short Course in Sea Ice-Ocean Modeling and Data Assimilation" in Bremen, Germany
- December 4-5, 2006 - Jan and Waldemar participated in "Damocles General Assembly 2006" which was held in Bremen, Germany
- December 2, 2006 - Over two weeks South Baltic Sea cruise of R/V Oceania ended. Hydrophysical conditions in the deep regions: Arkona Basin, Bornholm Basin, Stolpe Channel and Gdansk Basin were measured. See some results
- September 26-29, 2006 - We are going to participate in the 4th SBI Pan-Arctic Meeting in Sopot: Jan will present a paper: "Recent warming of Atlantic Water in the Greenland Sea and its importance on Shelf-Basin Exchange", Ilona (with Waldemar, Jan, Paweł and Piotr) will present a poster: "Volume, heat and salt exchange through the Storfjordrenna". - September 11-17, 2006 - We are going to Ustka from where R/V Oceania will start its first Baltic Sea cruise in this summer/autumn season. We will check hydrophysical conditions in the main deep regions of the South Baltic: Arkona Basin, Bornholm Basin, Stolpe Channel and Gdansk Basin. See some results
- August 19, 2006 - Waldemar is traveling to Longyearbyen to embark R/V Maria S. Merian which takes part in the DAMOCLES Project in the Fram Strait region. He will return on September 18.
- August 19, 2006 - Piotr is going to Kirkenes from where I/B Kapitan Dranitsyn is going to leave. It participates in the IARC-Nabos 2006 Arctic Expedition. Piotr will take care of our mooring and POPS (Polar Ocean Profiling System) which will be installed under the DAMOCLES Project. He will return on September 17. See a few photos
