Distinguishing characteristics

Species description
Body elongated, oval, slightly tapering at both ends. Eyes may be present. Prostomium, rounded anteriorly, with 5 or 7 antennae. One pair of filamentous tentacular cirri usually well developed. Four or more rows of sessile macrotubercles present. Papillae usually on the ventral and sometimes between the rows of macrotubercles on the dorsal part of body. Microtubercles absent. All chaetae compound.
