Clymenura polaris (Théel, 1879)

Distinguishing characteristics
Head with very small cephalic plate, cephalic rim indistinct.
Palpod flattened and prominent.
Pygidium with a muscular ring with one cirrus.

Species description
Body small and fine. Head with cephalic plate. Cephalic plate very small, smaller then diameter of prostomium, cephalic rim indistinct. Palpod flattened and prominent. 19 chaetigers. First segment with inconspicuous chaetae, 2 - 3 segments with 2 reduced hooks on the neuropodia. 8th chaetiger with a triangular lobe with glands ventraly. Two pre-pygidial achaetous segment plus a callus ring. Anal cone present, with a well develop ventral valve. Pygidium with a muscular ring with one cirrus.

Size
To 31 mm for 15 chaetigers.
