Distinguishing characteristics
Prostomium with median, long and filamentous antenna reaching chaetiger 9.
Branchiae starting at chaetiger 4.
Modified chaetae with a thin terminal prolongation.

Species description
Prostomium roundly triangular, broad with two small eyes and a median, long and filamentous antenna reaching chaetiger 9. Up to 27 pairs of branchiae, starting at chaetiger 4. Notopodial postchaetal lobes in the first 3 chaetigers small and cirriform. All parapodia with capillary chaetae. Neuropodia of postbranchial segments bear also up to 8 modified chaetae with a thin terminal prolongation. Pygidium with 2 long and 1 short cirrus.

Prefers muddy with some quantity of sand or clay. Found also on clear sand.

Surface deposit feeder. Herbivore.
