Nuculana radiata (Krause, 1885)

A benthic bivalve mollusk of Arctic seas that is close to Pacific.

Size
Up to 35 mm, usually 20-25 mm.

Color
Periostracum light brown to dark brown, with thin radial sculpture on surface.

Habitat
Silty sediments.

Depth
Mainly in sublitoral.

Feeding
Deposit feeder.

Life cycle
Development without pelagic larvae.

Distribution
Boreal-arctic pacific species.
