Size
Up to 35 mm, usually 20-30 mm.

Color
Periostracum colorless, pink or yellowish, shiny.

Habitat
On silty substrates, often with gravel or stones.

Depth
Mainly in sublitoral.

Feeding
Deposit feeder.
Suspension feeder.

Distribution
Widespread boreal-arctic.
