Ennucula tenuis (Montagu, 1808)

Size
Up to 19 mm, usually 10-13 mm.

Color
Periostracum olive-yellowish or brown to dark brown, shiny.

Habitat
Silty sand to silt, often with gravel or stones. Rare on sand.

Depth
Sublitoral-bathyal.

Feeding
Detritus feeder.

Life cycle
Mucous egg capsules on the surface of sediments.

Distribution
Widespread boreal-arctic.
