Length to 15 mm.

Color
White. Periostracum with irregular radiating rows of microscopically fine pits; light brown to very dark brown in color.

Depth
Intertidal.
Continental Shelf (to 200 m).

Feeding
Suspension feeder.

Distribution
Arctic.
