I have expertise in Arctic fjords systems science,
reflecting an education in the filed of geography, sedimentology and
oceanography. My recent interest is the modern processes of
sedimentation, interaction between fresh and salt water and supply of
terrigenous matter to the fjords with applications to climate changes
study. Since science is the team effort, and I
work in the Department of Marine Ecology, I also study biological
implications on solids fluxes in water column and bottom sediments.
During
24 years of my professional activities I spent more than 50 months in
European, American and Russian Arctic regions working in different
scientific programs. |
