These data are the acoustic profiles of the water column and they were acquired in the Antarctic regions during BIOMASS III expedition, in time from October 1986 to January 1987. Mainly they contain echoes from Antarctic krill Euphausia Superba aggregations. Measurements were conducted on the r/v ,,Profesor Siedlecki’’ and the EK-120 SIMRAD echosounder was used. It was generating and sending downward impulses of frequency 120 kHz, 96 per minute. The echoes envelopes from depth between 5 and 160 m were recorded in the analog form on magnetic tapes by the Brüel-Kjaer recorder. The vessel speed was between 4 and 10 knots. After the expedition the analog-digital conversion of aquired data was performed, with sampling frequencies 3000 and 5000 Hz. At present the collected digital data contain about 1500 profiles and the total size about 600 MB (not compressed).
