Paracrenhydrosoma
oceaniae
- a new cletodid species of the Acrenhydrosoma-lineage
attributed to the genus Paracrenhydrosoma Gee, 1999.
- described from Kongsfjorden (Spitsbergen)
- can easily distinguished from its congeners
by the reduced setal formula of the natatorial legs
- detailed comparison of this species with
its congeners revealed that the genus, as defined today, appears to be a
paraphyletic assemblage and should be redefined in the future
