Education:
- 2006:
M.Sc. in molecular ecology of
phytoplankton from the Helgoland
Road (North Sea); International
Max Planck Research School
for Marine Ecology, Alfred Wegener
Institute for Polar
and Marine Research, Bremerhaven,
Germany
- 2004:
M.Sc. in ecology of phytoplankton
from the fjords of west Spitsbergen;
University of Gdańsk, Faculty
of Biology, Geography and Oceanology,
Gdynia, Poland
Scientific interests:
- My
main interest is on functioning
of microbial food webs, with
focus on nanoflagellates, both
plastidic and aplastidic. Particularly,
I am interested in biological
(e.g. competition and grazing)
and environmental (e.g. temperature,
salinity, nutrients) factors
that governs the structure of
the nanoflagellate communities,
and the role of nanoflagellate
groups in the environment. I
use molecular methods (sequencing,
CARD-FISH) in my studies.
Ongoing project:
- Still waiting for decisions
