DESCRIPTION
Small, monosiphonic colonies irregularly branched arising from creeping stolons. Hydranths
with 17-22 tentacles, large, rounded hypostome. Perisarc rather smooth (1).
Male and female sporosacs on normal hydranths. Female gonophores, about six sporosacs
develop in one whorl. Male gonophores (6-8) arise at the lower part of the hydranth in one
whorl (2).
Nematocysts on tentacles at distal end in rings. Small microbasic eurytele on tentacles; larger
macrobasic eurytele, shaft in intact capsule in 4-5 coils.
