DESCRIPTION
Erect colonies, stem and most branches polysiphonic (Fig.1). Long hydrothecae lack
operculum and arise from its own tube, in 4-6 rows longitudinal rows with alternating
hydrothecae of adjacent rows, rims are circular, often renovated (Fig.2). Gonothecae borne in
hermaphrodite coppiniae.

Hornsund, Kongsfjorden, Rijpfjorden, Kong Karls Land, Whalenbergfjorden

Circumpolar, northern temperate to Arctic.
