DESCRIPTION

Stolonal colonies creeping on other animals or algae. Hydrothecae on annulated pedicels of length shorter or the same as hydrothecae, with a conical operculum formed by 8-10 triangular flaps. Flaps well demarcated from hydrotheca, with crease line. Egg-shaped gonothecae develop from stolons, on short ringed pedicels. Eggs grow in acrocyst.

Adventfjorden, Heleysundet, Hornsund, Kongsfjorden, Tommeloyane, Wahlenbergfjorden

Northern Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Faroes, Barents Sea, White Sea, Kara Sea, Laptev Sea, East Siberian Sea, Chukchi Sea, Bering Sea, Alaska, Sea of Okhotsk, Mediterranean Sea, around the British Isles
