SYNONYMY

Thuiaria fabricii Nutting, 1901

DESCRIPTION

Stems monosiphonic, zigzag, with spirally arranged hydrocladia (Fig.1). Segments of stem are short, each with an apophysis for the attachment of hydrocladium and three hydrothecae, one axially and two distally placed. Hydrocladia branched several times. Hydrotheca elongated, adnate for at least 3 of its length, margin with distinct lateral teeth. Gonothecae on branches, elongated, bearing a neck at distal end with circular opening and two distinct hornes (Fig.2, Fig.3).
