DESCRIPTION
Colonies monosiphonic, irregularly branched, mostly two branches below a hydrotheca,
occasionally occurring nodes. Perisarc strongly corrugated (Fig.1), smooth stretches may also
be present. Hydrotheca on hydrophore of about the same length as hydrothecal depth, with
margin everted or rolled in and thin diaphragm.
Dioecious gonothecae borne on branches. Female gonotheca oblong, with oval opening
(Fig.2). Male gonotheca smaller, with somewhat variable shape.
