DESCRIPTION
Colonies small, monosiphonic, with rather smooth perisarc (Fig.1). Hydranths with about 20
tentacles and large hypostome (Fig.2). Nematocysts on tentacles arranged in rings in proximal
3 of tentacles.
Male blastostyle without tentacles, from 12 gonophores per blastostyle, female gonophores on
hydranths with reduced tentacles, and with no hypostome, 5-12 eggs per blastostyle (Fig.3).
Small microbasic euryteles and isorhizas, not concentrated in the basal ring.
